Breathing Techniques and Rainbow Relaxation
Hi everyone
I am 36weeks pregnant and have been using hypnobirthing techniques from the book along with the CD's (can't afford classes). I listen to rainbow relaxation every day and after about 5minutes its as though I am in a deep sleep and don't hear the rest of the CD (Ibelieve that is a good thing). When this happens I have no awareness of my breathing.
It seems that many women listen to RR continously throughout their labour, if I was to do this I feel I wouldn't be able to do the sleep breathing and the slow breathing technique used during surges as I wouldn't be conscious enough of what was happening to control my breathing.
If this were to happen during labour would this matter and would it affect my ability to remain comfortable during surges or does it just mean I am deeply relaxed and my body will take over the birthing process
Thank you
Claire
