What constitutes a birth professional?

Postby hollybmb » Mon Feb 14, 2011 1:51 am

Hi! :) I am enrolled on a HypnoBirthing Practitioner's course this coming April, in Northampton.
I am not a hypnotherapist, nor a midwife, however I am training with Nurturing Birth to become a Doula the following month. I'm just wondering if once I have completed this further training whether I'd be considered a birth professional and avoid the necessity to take the 'birthing basics' course, or whether this will still be something I'll need to undertake in order to qualify fully as a HypnoBirthing Practitioner?
I have emailed a tutor asking this question a couple of weeks ago, but have yet to receive a reply so I thought I would ask here!
