Qualifying for non birthing professionals

Postby LauraGilliam » Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:33 pm

Hi there,

I am really interested in training to be a hypnobirthing practioner - I had a hypnobirth in August last year. I am a bit dissapointed to see that as a non birthing professional I cannot qualify in one complete course.

Are there plenty of Birthing Basics courses available for those who have passed the main course? How much will it cost to take the extra segment? I am not sure the home study versioin would be right for me but would like more info on the options.

Any advice would be much appreciated...

Thanks

Laura

Hi

Yes, usually plenty of places to do Birth Basics as a standalone, and it costs £195 (discounted from the usual £250).

It can't all be done in one go because the first two days run in parallel - Birth Basics and Introduction to Hypnosis, and then everyone comes together for the practitioner training on the Saturday and Sunday.

Strongly recommend doing it live, as the home study version is not yet Anglicised i.e. refers to American birthing practice.

Best regards

Great thank you very much.

Any idea on course locations for the later half of 2008 yet?

Kind regards

Training locations

Most likely same locations as before - Stirling (Scotland), Hove (East Sussex) and Northampton.
