Hello everyone. I had my second son using hypnobirthing almost a year ago. While the birth was much easier than my first, I have to admit I was petrified as it became more and more intense, and I did feel EVERYTHING although to look at me you may not have thought so. The midwives were amazed as they hardly had to do anything at all. My son was healthy and the birth was totally complication free, no tears or anything either, even though I pushed.
My point is that I really like the hypnobirthing beliefs and theology, and I want to train to be a practitioner, but I feel disappointed with myself that I didn't obtain the pain free birth that I worked so hard for, and how do I tell and teach others it can be pain free when the person they are learning from couldn't even do it?! I'd love to hear your advice and comments. Thanks.
