|
|
As you may or may not realise, the HypnoBirthing Institute now publishes the current list of practitioners on their website.
However, as their navigation system is rather circuitous I've provided a page on our website that imports the information (live) and displays it as part of the UK site.
I've redirected all the "Find your nearest HypnoBirthing classes" links and the new page is:
www.hypnobirthing.co.uk/hypnobirthing_classes_iframe.shtml
Any problems, let me know.
Best regards

Hi Gordon,
Great that we have an easily accessible listing for practitioners, but there is the same old age problem for me.
Because my surname is starts with an 'S' I am once again (as at school) at the bottom of the list, so when mum-to-be checks for local practitioner she will come to first name (not mine!) and will have found her Hypnobirthing Practitioner.
I do feel I may be overlooked. Perhaps it is just me that can foresee this problem, but I hope eventually website can list by area not just by surname.
Many thanks for the excellent website and for letting me have a gripe.
Best wishes

If I was looking for someone I would look through the whole list to find all practitioners in my area, then get their details, cost etc then decide, I wouldn't go by who came nearest to the top of the list. Hope this makes you feel better, I don't think your missing out!
I think the people that are missing out are the ones who just have their email listed. |

Hi Danielle,
Thanks for that - perhaps I am just panicking. I have always been at the bottom of the alphabet - I was a 'V' at school!
Best Wishes

Hi
To answer the points raised here:
1. I'd agree with Danielle. People don't stop looking at the first person in the list - they find all the ones in their area and ring around.
2. I am discussing possible other ways of presenting the list information with Gene Mongan, who runs the US site. Nothing agreed at the moment, but I do realise that alphabetical listing of everyone in the country isn't exactly the most user friendly way of doing things.
3. Any corrections to your details need to be advised to the Institute directly. Send updates to Mary Ann Murphy, as she maintains the
practitioner database. Contact her at assistant@hypnobirthing.com.
Hope that helps.
Best regards
