Introducing myself!

Postby Caz81 » Wed Jul 23, 2008 11:11 am

Hi all, my name is Caz and I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I got my hypnobirthing book last week and had my first session last night and it was fantastic! I feel like I've been let in on a massive secret . I don't feel scared at all about the birth now, just impatient! I'm a bit worried about the breathing thing because I can't do it yet but my doula (who is lovely!) says this is normal at the start and it takes some practice.

I was a bit worried at first that hypnobirthing wouldn't be right for me because I'm quite practical and scientific and not really spiritual or anything like that but I was pleased to find that most of it is common sense and there are some nice geeky bits for me to get my science teeth into

Looking forward to chatting and sharing experiences with you all! :D

Hi Caz,

Welcome, I felt like you did 4yrs ago when I first came across HypnoBirthing, I also come from a science background but was pleasantly surprised that no kaftans or incense was involved  .

I hope your doula/practitioner is who I think it is, you are in very good hands if so :D (from another Cambs practitioner/doula).

Hi Sarah, her name is Suzanne, I think she's been a doula for a while so you might know her :)
