Anyone fancy a working holiday weekend?

Postby Juliette » Wed Aug 12, 2009 10:02 am

Hiya everyone,
I am taking a stand to represent HypnoBirthing at the first Mother, Toddler and Baby Exhibition here in the south of Spain.
I am the only practitioner here in the South and wondered if there were any other practitioners or HB mums who were wanting a weekend away  to help me man the stand.... good food and wine included, I promise!!
The dates are the 9th and 10th October, I cannot guarantee the weather, but even though it will be a busy couple of days it should be a lot of fun as well.
If you fancy a few days away please let me know
Huge thank you

I think the "huge thank you" goes to you, Juliette!
What a lovely invite and a great thought. I would love to pick up on your offer, but alas think my calendar and family committments won't allow it - but i did want to post anyway.
My last memory of Estepona was gearing up within an expedition group to traverse Morocco and the Sahara, so it has good thoughts for me, as well as camping on Tarifa's beaches.
I wish you well with the exhibition - a first for your area - get the word out!
Maybe another time.....
Bernie.

It is a lovely offer Juliette but sadly, like Bernie, other commitments prevent me from taking you up on it. I am moving house sometime in September or maybe early October plus I am taking the Lynsi Eastburn HypnoFertility course in Manchester the following weekend so am busy busy.

Wish I could have though, and loads of luck with it! You're our pioneer in Southern Spain! 8) :D :D

I saw your post on the Nest earlier today - hopefully someone might be able to help! 8) :?: :D

Thank you both for your replies, I will keep my fingers crossed that it might be suitable for someone. Good luck with all the things you are both doing. :D

Oh Julie, I would have *loved* to (if nothing more than to nosy at your house and plastic surgery neighbours  ) but I'm busy that weekend :( .

Lots and lots and lots of luck, do you have a friend who can go with you? I would never do a baby show by myself, they're too demanding (well good ones, I've been to some right duffers!), whenever I do one I either do a joint stand with someone else (doing some with Alwyn & Jo soon :D ) or take a friend along so she can cover for me a bit whilst I have a wee/food break, also if the stand gets busy and you're already chatting your friend can chat with the other people. I've taken a friend along before who has no children and didn't have a clue about HypnoBirthing until 15mins before the show started, but she was fab and nobody minded when she said she didn't know too much and then chatted about their baby/due date/potential names etc... whilst I finished up.

Luckily my Mum is around and has said if non of my friends are available she is happy to come with me. All of my friends work full time or are full time mums so they are looking into it to see if they can do it!!!
Hope all is good with you and your family. Say hi to Alwyn and Jo xx

Sounds good, hope it goes well! will say "Hi" too.

What month is it you're back? am getting lots of enquiries about coffee morning dates for the rest of the year and can't remember the date/month you're here.
