Hi all,
For those of you that read Mother and Baby magazine (if your practitioner hasn't suggested you hold fire on that - it can be a little scare-mongering with all the talk of pain, interventions and dangers!

) you will have seen February's "real life" story about Moira who overcame her fear of childbirth. The article says that she worked with a hypnotherapist and clinical psychologist. That was me (and I'm not a hypnotherapist, I'm a HypnoBirthing practitioner!

). I'm gutted (and so is Moira) because in the whole three page spread, there is no mention of HypnoBirthing! They seem to have edited it out. Moira did the article because she is passionate about how HypnoBirthing helped her, and wanted other mums to know about it. The article does not come close to helping other mums know about HypnoBirthing, because it doesn't mention it.
Anyhow, the reason I'm mentioning it is because I wanted people to read it knowing that it was HypnoBirthing that helped her. Not a miracle (as they kind of suggest for artistic license) but just good ol' HypnoBirthing.
