The soundbites were okish, the caught me on the hop yesterday to pre-record them, but the live show went really well. He was clearly uncomfortable talking about birth, but it was really positive and they had done their homework.
There was a lovely moment when it somehow got onto the dentistry bit from Alternative Therapies last week, and the presenter replied sceptically, mmmm yes but you can't always believe what you see - and I just said "well it was filmed live by the BBC and shown on BBC2", which stopped him dead in his tracks.
The icing on the cake was that they had phoned up the maternity unit at QMC (the largest hospital in the region) who said that they "gave their unqualified backing to the technique and that it were no known risks to mum or baby" which was a real endorsement."
I did have a bit of coaching, my husband does the media training for DRs at the British Medical Association!
