When the uterine surges it lifts within the abdomen. Is this lift a movement back and forth with each surge or does the uterus gradually keep moving forward with each surge? A dad in my class wanted to know. I thought it was a good question and have no idea. Can anyone help?

my understanding is that the uterus lifts and relaxes back into its resting position , its visible when the uterus is surging , then it rests.
