Slight Anxiety thinking about what to do...

Postby Imogen » Wed Dec 16, 2009 1:58 pm

Hello,

I am 39 weeks and feel like i could pop any day..... very excited but also slightly anxious. I felt like i had a lot going in my tummy last night and found i was making myself anxious by worrying about what was going to happen. I did my breathing techniques and tried to relax as much as possible - then woke up this morning - clearly i had not been in labour.

I feel confident about the techniques i have to use, but just wondered if anyone who had a wonderful birth experience some of these thoughts and feelings before going through the whole process - and whether you had any tips on how to relax my mind from anxious thoughts...

xx

PS: sooooooooo glad i found this forum!

Hello Imogen

I would suggest that you get back in contact with your HypnoBirthing teacher and discuss your worries with her. I am sure she will be able to reassure you, and possibly offer you an extra fear release session (which is what i offer my mums) if she feels it necessary.

Have faith in your ability to do this Imogen - you've done the practice and both your mind and body are well prepared :)

I'd like to wish you all the best..........a Christmas baby - very exciting! :D
