Hypnobirthing:- water required?

Postby Sparkle113 » Wed Jan 05, 2011 7:59 pm

Hiya,

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and hoping to try hypnobirthing.

Unfortuntely I can't make it to any classes but I have ordered a book and CD.

I've read quite a few stories and most seem to involve a birthing pool. Is this really necessary?
I feel like I have alot to work against as:-

Can't make it to classes
OH is clueless and unwilling to listen to CDs with me
The hospital where I will be giving birth have no birthing pools

Can anyone reassure me?

Water isn't necessary-I have had two hypnobabies and had them both on dry land.
First couldn't use a pool as I had was induced.
Second baby, had a pool at home but didn't want to use it on the day.
Best wishes
