Hi, contact the hypnobirthing instute they will send you a list of all practitioners in your area, remember it will be coming from america and sometimes their geography isn't always spot on but they usually get it right.

We aren't allowed to give out referals ourselves, but if anyone who has visited a practitioner wants to say how great the person was, I think thats allowed? Gordon-is it?

Referrals

Postby gordon_mullan » Tue Jul 19, 2005 2:40 pm

Hi

Danielle is quite right that we are not allowed to give out practitioner details, as the list is controlled by The HypnoBirthing Institute. You need to use the "Find Your Nearest Classes" link on our site to get the list.

One of the reasons for this is to ensure that the practitioners given out are still practicing, active and in good standing. The list is continually being updated and only The HypnoBirthing Institute is permitted to provide referrals.

That said, I guess there would be nothing to stop mums who have used HypnoBirthing saying who they used, if they thought they were good.

However, I would check that that practitioner is still on the current referrals list, just to make sure everything is still OK.

Best regards

Hypnobirthing in London

Postby Sophie27 » Sat Jul 30, 2005 5:13 pm

I don't know if you're still looking for a class and I'm afraid my geography is rubbish when it comes to London but I travelled from Rugby in the midlands to attend the classes taught by Helianthe Rusken and found them to be excellent. Her website address is http://www.hypnoclinic.net/ and all contact details are on there.

My baby isn't due until September so I can't give you a birth story yet but I found the classes really interesting and my husband who was slightly skeptical has been converted.

We're busy preparing for the birth of our baby and are hoping to be at home and use the techniques we have learnt.

I wish you lots of luck! :D
