Hypnobirthing and Morning Sickness

Postby baby4 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 11:21 am

Hello,

could anyone tell me how we can use HB during the pregnancy? I have had so much sickness and nausea throughout, and lots and lots of heartburn.

Now, I can understand that childbirth is a natural process, and the body knows exactly what to do, to the extent that it will birth the baby itself - we just have to breath.... but what about all these hormones making me feel so awful? After reading the HB book, Ive stopped taking the heartburn meds that my doctor prescribed for me, but I do feel pretty awful.

Any advice?

Hi
I don't think it says in the book to stop taking pescribed medication! There are things that can be done in hypnosis to help with morning sickness and the relaxation can help. I don't know what your medication does-hopefully someone with more knowldge about that side of things will come along-but I wouldn't advise stopping taking medication without consutling someone.
Best wishes
