Have posted a reply on the previous topic re being 'disappointed with local classes' but thought I would start a new topic to see if I can get some information.

I am 13 weeks pregnant with my first baby! I contacted the only local Hypnobirthing practitioner in my area as my husband and I are very keen to use hypnobirthing. The practitioner seems very nice but she only provides 2 classes instead of the recommended 4 or 5. I dont live too far from Durham and I was wondering if anyone had any information about classes held there?

I would be really grateful for any advice and help!!

Hi Alyson,

I posted the original post 'Disappointed with local classes' and after doing a bit more digging around I found another practitioner who is based in Langley Park near durham, about 30 minutes from ncl down the A1. We went to meet Chris, who is lovely and we've just booked with her starting in November when I'll be 22 weeks. I'm 12+2 at the moment with our first baby too, but wanted to get something in the diary. I paid for the course there and then because I liked her so much and she gave me the book to read and the CDs to listen to. I emailed her and she invited me and my husband to visit her at her practice, which is a really nice room above a shop. I'm really looking forward to starting with her. She offers 5 x 2.5 hour sessions, once per week on a week day evening. Apparently it would be with a maximum of two other couples. Much better than what I originally found with the practictioner based near Morpeth

Thankyou so much for that information. I emailed the practitioner offering the 2 sessions and she replied that there was now a course running over 4 weeks in November....not sure why this wasnt suggested in the first place when I initially contacted her!

Nevermind, I am going to contact Christine in Langley Park today so figers crossed!
