Breathing

Postby deev » Sun Jun 28, 2009 10:54 am

Hi, I've just discovered hypnobirthing and am reading the book but am a little confused by something. In the section on sleep breathing on pg. 124,125 it says do not exhale through mouth. This is confusing me a bit as in my yoga classes it is always in through nose out through mouth. So for sleep breathing is it in and out through nose, or in through mouth out through nose which is the opposite to yoga breathing? And does this apply to all the other breathing too i.e. the slow and birth breathing? It doesn't seem to specify. Thanks.

Not too sure what it says in the book, too many of my mums have had problems with it so I just say breathe is whatever way (mounth/nose) you prefer. I've had mums have colds/hayfever etc and trying to to do through their nose was too hard. FOr some women saying exactly how to breathe creates too many problems. Not had any problems since I started saying do it whichever way you prefer, it hasn't had a negative effect on the results.
Hope this helps
