Birth Plan Template

Postby AlfaFemale » Fri Jun 19, 2009 6:27 pm

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have completed our classes, and wondered if anyone knew of where I can get hold of an electronic copy of the HypnoBirthing birth-plan template?

If you have mislaid your birth plan or need another printed copy for your own use for a similar reason, why not ask your practitioner for another? :)

Thanks anyway for the advice, I was specifically after the HypnoBirthing one, the one that's in Marie's book, but it's ok I scanned it in and used text recognition software and then edited it from there!!

Well I'm glad you got it sorted, but I also meant the HypnoBirthing one, a printed copy of which your HB practitioner should have given out to you :)

I did have the HB one, but it was a tick-list with the Americanised options on it (that she'd crossed out), and I felt I wanted something a bit more personal, that included some other things that were very important to us.

I also wanted to write it specifically for a home-water birth, but with some additional options should special circumstances arise.

Thanks for your help!

I always encourage mums to write their own rather than use the template, cause then they can add all the things they want in, and if a midwife is having to look through to find what you want inbetween the things that aren't relevant-they aren't going to bother....
Hope this helps

That's exactly what I did Danielle! I just wondered if there had been an electronic version that was easier to adapt, but I'm guessing not!

No matter now, our preferences are finishes and I've put a copy in my white notes, and also there's a copy with my green notes in the maternity unit.

Thanks everyone for your help :D
