Hi

I am a Midwife in the throws of wondering if I should do the course to become a Hypnobirthing Practitioner? I have heard so many great stories from the mum's so there it must help and I want to help them help themselves. I just don't know if I will be taken seriously enough? I am leaving to live in Australia in September so going to Northampton is really my only chance. (I live in Scotland)

It will be a wee bit of an expence for me the course £600 the hotel £240 and the flights £120. I don't know will I be able to practice in Australia or should I wait and train when I get there?

Are there any practitioners in the Glasgow area that can advise me?

Thanks Susan

I'm not in Australia or Glasgow but thought you could check out the people listed here and ask them how accepted etc it is in australia and ask them if they get enough mums to make it worth while http://www.pregnancy.com.au/australian_websites.htm#HypnoBirthing

Thanks for that I have been on to the web site and sent an email to a fully trained Hypnobirthing Practitioner. Hopefully I will here back soon. Anyone out there with any advice for me or any research material that would be useful for me to read?

Any help will be much appreciated. Also if ther is anyone elce out there thinking of traveling to Northampton from Scotland then please let me know.

Thanks

Susan

Hi Susan

I've got good news and bad news I'm afraid. The bad news is, there are no more places left for midwives on the June course in Northampton - it's sold out.

(There's one place left for a hypnotherapist but that's all).

The good news is, you can train in Australia. If you get in touch with Marilyn Boon, she will give you all the details. You can contact her as follows:
